The Experience

Before You Go

Secure small gear

Use a camera strap or small dry bag—loose items can fall from zipline platforms and are hard to retrieve in the valley.

Hydrate and refill

Carry a 1–1.5 L reusable bottle—the tour provides bottled water but refill options in the reserve are limited.

Sturdy footwear only

Wear closed-toe hiking shoes with good grip for the village walk and uneven approach trails to the platforms.

Mind the weight/height limits

Guests must be at least 1.45 m and under ~110 kg; check with the operator in advance if you are near these limits.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

  • A viewpoint above the long 316 m line where you can watch zippers cross the valley
  • A short side-path through a lesser-visited hamlet with painted doorways and terraced plots

Wildlife

  • Barbary macaque
  • Common kestrel and other raptors

Conservation Note

The area benefits from community-run argan cooperatives and reserve protections—stay on paths and support local co-ops to reinforce sustainable tourism.

Berber communities have farmed these slopes for centuries; the region’s argan and terraced agriculture reflect long-standing adaptations to a thin mountain soil.
