Riviera Maya Jungle Zipline, ATV & Cenote Adventure — Zip, Ride, Swim

Soar through the Riviera Maya canopy, tear down jungle trails on your own ATV, then cool off in a sacred cenote. This half-day combo blends high-adrenaline zips and off-road riding with a culturally rich cenote swim and a taste of Yucatecan food.

The Experience

Before You Go

Bring reef-safe sunscreen

Cenotes are sensitive — use biodegradable, reef-safe sunscreen to protect water quality and local wildlife.

Wear closed-toe shoes

Sturdy trainers or light hiking shoes protect feet on muddy ATV trails and while boarding ziplines.

Hydrate and snack lightly beforehand

You’ll be active for 5–6 hours; bring or drink water before the trip to avoid dehydration in the heat.

Know the weight and age limits

Maximum weight ~130 kg/286 lb; drivers must meet minimum age requirements—check rules before booking.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

  • Ask guides about the small cavern off the main cenote pool — calmer water and better light for photos.
  • Visit the nearby roadside Mayan eatery for a second helping of cochinita pibil if time allows.

Wildlife

  • Howler monkeys (heard more often than seen)
  • Tropical birds and occasional coati near dawn/dusk

Conservation Note

Operators often ask guests to use reef-safe products and avoid soaps in cenotes; stay on marked trails to limit erosion from ATV routes.

Cenotes were vital to Maya life and ritual — freshwater sources and entrances to the underworld in their cosmology; limestone karst shaped the sinkholes over thousands of years.
