The Experience

Before You Go

Footwear for all stages

Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes that drain water well for rafting and provide grip for buggy controls and rocky approaches to the zipline landing.

Bring a dry bag

A small waterproof bag keeps your phone and extra layer safe during the rafting segment and dusty buggy leg.

Hydrate and fuel up

This is an eight-hour activity; bring electrolytes and eat a solid breakfast—lunch is provided but you’ll need energy for the morning buggy run.

Listen during safety briefings

Guides cover raft commands, buggy handling basics, and zipline harness checks—pay attention to reduce risk and increase fun.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

  • Short walk to small Roman bridge remnants in Köprülü Canyon for quiet views
  • Roadside orange groves near Manavgat where local stalls sell citrus in season

Wildlife

  • Bonelli’s eagle or other raptors hunting canyon thermals
  • Rock hyrax and Mediterranean shrubland birds along trails

Conservation Note

The canyon lies within a national park—stay on designated routes, pack out plastics, and avoid disturbing riverbanks to protect trout habitat and riparian vegetation.

Köprülü Canyon has been a transit and settlement corridor since antiquity; Roman bridgeworks and Ottoman-era routes still mark access points into the gorge.
