The Experience

Before You Go

Know the weight & height rules

The highest zipline requires a minimum weight (110 lbs) and max 270 lbs; children must be 7 years old and at least 4.5 ft tall.

Wear closed-toe shoes

Sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes improve braking control and comfort during short hikes between platforms.

Bring sunscreen & insect repellent

The ridgelines are exposed and insects are common in shaded staging areas—apply before departure.

Hydrate and eat lightly before

Drink water throughout the morning and choose a light meal before zipping; lunch is provided after the course.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

  • Short overlook trails near the park entrance that offer valley views without the lines
  • Local roadside kiosks selling fresh coffee and frituras in Orocovis for a quick post-tour snack

Wildlife

  • Puerto Rican tody (small colorful bird)
  • Coqui frogs heard in shaded gullies at dusk

Conservation Note

The park operates in a sensitive watershed—stay on marked trails, avoid littering, and follow guide instructions to minimize erosion and disturbance.

The central mountain region developed around agriculture and coffee estates; modern adventure tourism has repurposed old farm access into zipline platforms and lookout points.
